Narratives of Resistance magazine is a collection of stories co-designed by Alfredo Alvarado, Áyan Ortega, and Eve Xelestiál Moreno-Luz. The project began through the collaborative efforts of Art Division Los Angeles and Art Center School of Design in Pasadena. The Socially Engaged Art Class was a two-part course that engaged Art Center students, and Art Division students. The Narratives of Resistance Magazine editors sent out an open call to LGBTQIA+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual, and Positive) artists to submit visual and writing works pertaining to identity.
